On 24 February 2025, Marsden Maritime Holdings Limited (Marsden), an NZX-listed Code company, entered into a scheme implementation agreement (the Proposed Scheme), under which Northport Group Limited (on behalf of a consortium composed of Northland Regional Council, Port of Tauranga Limited, and Ngāpuhi Investment Fund Limited) would acquire 100% of the fully paid ordinary shares in Marsden for consideration of $5.60 per share.
On 29 May 2025, Marsden shareholders voted to approve the Proposed Scheme. The High Court granted final orders on 11 June 2025. The Proposed Scheme was implemented, and Marsden was delisted from the NZX, on 26 June 2025.
