On 11 September 2024, Contact Energy Limited (Contact) entered into a scheme implementation agreement in relation to a scheme of arrangement (the Proposed Scheme) under which Contact would acquire 100% of the fully paid ordinary shares in Manawa Energy Limited (Manawa).
On 16 June 2025, Manawa shareholders voted to approve the Proposed Scheme by the requisite thresholds. The High Court granted final orders on 3 July 2025, and the scheme was implemented on 11 July 2025.
