These are the current principal legislative instruments related to public takeovers in New Zealand.
The Takeovers Regulations 2000 includes the Takeovers Code, and the fees charged for the Panel's services.
The Companies Act includes section 236A, which governs schemes of arrangement involving a Code company. Schedule 10 sets out the principles to be applied to determine interest classes for the purposes of section 236A of the Companies Act.
